Despite her reputation as a man of means, Arun Nayar will be getting paid big $$$$ from his soon-to-be ex-wife, Elizabeth Hurley. When the couple wed in 2007, the did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement, so he will get a large chunk of her £13million fortune.

"A pre-nup would have been a deal-breaker for Arun. He has his pride," claims a source.

But some people think he won't get too much!

"He would be very unlikely to get half Miss Hurley’s fortune because her assets were mainly acquired before their marriage," said London divorce lawyer Ayesha Vardag.

After making a bit of a splash back in 2002 in his feature film debut in 8 Mile (a film which won him an Academy Award for Best Song), Eminem is finally returning to the big screen. Deadline is reporting that Em has signed on to star in a boxing film being produced by Dreamworks. Eminem‘s new film is titled Southpaw:

reamWorks has made a preemptive acquisition of Southpaw, a pitch for a star vehicle for Eminem (Marshall Mathers) that will be written by Sons of Anarchy creator/exec producer Kurt Sutter. Like in Eminem’s 2002 screen starring debut 8 Mile, Southpaw will be fueled by the struggles that inform Eminem’s music and mirror his life. Eminem will play a fast-rising welterweight boxer who brawls his way to the title, only to see his world crash down around him due to tragedy. The movie is about his fight to reclaim past glory … The film will be produced by Eminem’s Shady Films’ managers and producing partners Paul Rosenberg and Stuart Parr, and Alan and Peter Riche of Riche Productions. The deal comes as Eminem’s comeback album, Recovery, just got 10 Grammy Awards nominations … Sutter will begin writing immediately, and he will complete a draft by February, before he and his Anarchy writers begin to plot the fourth season of the series. “There is a rich story her that references his own experience, and I was honored to be able to continue a relationship that began with 8 Mile,” Snider told me. She’ll steer the project with DreamWorks co-president Mark Sourian.

Well it’s about damn time! I totally understand why Em has not taken on any movie roles in the past 8 years considering all the hardships he’s been thru but it is really great news that he is ready to act again. I loved his performance in 8 Mile and I am really anxious to see if he’s got it inside him to bring the skills again. What do y’all think … are you excited to see Eminem on the big screen again?

Ryan Reynolds & Scarlett Johansson Are Dunzo!

Uh oh! We’ve got another celebrity break-up to discuss … and this one is even bigger than Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter‘s split. I have safely and happily made my way back home from my frigid and snowy home state of Michigan to the warmer climes of California … and it feels good to be home. Even tho I had a lot of fun in Detroit, I really really REALLY hate the cold and the snow so … yeah, I was itching a bit to get back home. I did manage to bring a bit of my home with me to LA … my mom scrounged up my class rings, yearbooks and other school memorabilia so that I could bring them home with me:

I think I’m finally ready to ask David to go steady with me so … he’ll get to wear my high school class ring if he says yes. I know that many folks have asked for high school photos of me but I just can’t find the strength to embarrass myself like that just yet … maybe some day but, nope, not yet.

So yeah … I’m home again … and for a while ;) Tonight, David and I have tickets to see the Broadway musical Next to Normal which is in production here in LA for a few weeks:

We both saw it on Broadway in NYC last year but not together. He loved the show so much he wanted to see it again so … that’s what we’re doing! Happy Tuesday, y’all … it’s great to be home!!

The Script: "Science and Faith" Album Review

The Black Rider is an album of Tom Waits that contains the songs Tom Waits penned and performed for the stage play musical of the same title which was directed by Robert Wilson and written by William Burroughs. The songs in this album strike a resemblance to the modified cabaret/blues of Waits in the mid 80s but with a more defined European art song touch. Consequently, Waits is joined by a good selection of his US cronies (Joe Gore, Greg Cohen etc) and the people involved in the original Black Rider stage musical.

Nodules usually appear as swellings on both sides of the vocal cords of similar size and shape and can seriously affect the voice. Singers should use proper vocal technique to avoid this condition...

In what is likely the must unsurprising news you’ll hear all day long, singer Willie Nelson got arrested in Texas last night on marijuana possession charges. The offending substance was found by a border patrol agent who smelled the loco weed inside Willie‘s tour bus … a subsequent search uncovered the marijuana and Willie got taken into custody:

A U.S. Border Patrol spokesman says country singer Willie Nelson was charged with marijuana possession after 6 ounces was found aboard his tour bus in Texas. Patrol spokesman Bill Brooks says the bus pulled into the Sierra Blanca, Texas, checkpoint about 9 a.m. Friday. Brooks says an officer smelled pot when a door was opened and a search turned up marijuana. Brooks says the Hudspeth County sheriff was contacted and Nelson was among three people arrested. Sheriff Arvin West didn’t immediately return a phone message left at his home Friday, but he told the El Paso Times that Nelson claimed the marijuana was his. The singer was held briefly a $2,500 bond before being released.

It is very common knowledge that Willie Nelson is a staunch supporter of the legalization of marijuana who often and very openly discusses his use of the controlled substance. I’m actually very impressed that Willie decided to man up and admit that the marijuana was his when he could’ve very easily had someone else take the blame. At this point in his career, I highly doubt that Willie Nelson is worried about what an arrest for marijuana possession charge might mean professionally … in fact, as an advocate for the legalization of marijuana, he may likely regard this bust as a badge of honor. Whatever the case may be, homeboy got busted for getting caught.

ronni-chasen-murder-drugs.jpg

This story just gets more twisted.

The man linked to publicist Ronni Chasen's murder may have been a drug dealer, says some of his neighbors.

Harold Smith, who committed suicide in front of investigators at the Harvey Apartments in Los Angeles, was said to have "kept to himself" and was "involved in dubious behavior."

A neighbor who lived in the same apartment building, described Smith:

"Harold probably got caught up in something or someone snitched on him. He come by my apartment and we be smoking weed together. He sold drugs too. He was a cool cat and kept to himself and really didn't say much."

Despite reports that Smith was getting evicted, the neighbor says otherwise, continuing:

"Naw man, he wasn't gettin' evicted. That fool sold drugs and had some other sh-t going on too. He had money or was getting money. Think about it homie, what weed dealer you know gone stay strapped with a gun. He was definitely into some other sh-t and that's all I’m gonna say."

Other residents of the building, including Sammy Zamorano, who runs a business out of the building, says that he thought there was something strange about Smith. He told sources that he thought he need cash and he needed it fast. He added:

"This Harold guy was kind of a nut. I heard he had a gun in his apartment and needed money and would always be talking about robbing somebody. Do I think he killed that publicist woman? Who knows. But I do know he needed money and wanted to rob someone. That's a fact! No one would just up and shoot them self when the cops are trying to ask you questions. He probably had a guilty conscience."

So sad.

Let's just hope police can find more clues that will give us more information about her unfortunate death.
